Ashley Gross

Producer, Eight Forty-Eight

As a producer for Eight Forty-Eight, Chicago Public Radio’s weekday morning newsmagazine, Ashley is responsible for arranging host interviews as well as contributing her own pieces to the show.

Prior to joining Chicago Public Radio in February 2007, Ashley worked as a reporter and producer for the program AK on Alaska Public Radio Network, which received two awards for “Best News/Public Affairs Program” from Public Radio News Directors, Inc. She has been a reporter for Bloomberg News in San Francisco, California, and worked as an editorial assistant and intern for Morning Edition in Washington, DC. Her stories have aired on NPR, The World, Weekend America and Voice of America.
 
Ashley has a B.A. in History from Brown University and an M.A. in Media and Communications from Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs.
 
Originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico, Ashley resides in the Edgewater neighborhood of Chicago.
