Sally Eisele

Managing Editor, Public Affairs

Sally Eisele is Managing Editor of Public Affairs for Chicago Public Radio. She oversees a staff of more than forty editors, reporters, producers and interns who produce daily news and feature reports. She is responsible for developing an editorial desk system which generates content for Morning Edition, All Things Considered and Chicago Public Radio’s own award-winning Eight-Forty-Eight and Worldview programs.

Sally comes to Chicago Public Radio from KQED in San Francisco, where she was the founding Senior Producer for The California Report and over the years worked as senior editor, assignment editor, host and reporter. She began her career in Michigan at WKAR in East Lansing and also worked as Managing Editor of the Michigan Public Radio Network and host of the daily news magazine program State Edition.

In her spare time, she likes to go fishing with her son Harry.
