Ms. McEvoy,
Awesome piece! It is very nice to see (or rather hear) successful teachers being recognized. As a fellow teacher at Farragut, I can personally attest to the amazing amount of time and effort that Josh puts into the school and his students. I am sure that he greatly appreciates your interest in him and his students.
Please continue with a thread of similarly inspiring stories of Chicagoans (especially those working in the largely under-served Southside) being successful in their travails due to hard work and determination!

What a wonderful piece! As a former Teach For America corps member, I'm proud to see that teachers like Josh are continuing to persevere and inspire their students in the face of such daunting challenges. Education in our city is such an important topic, and I thank you for bringing positive stories like this one to light!
