Doug Smithenry is a visual artist who critiques and chronicles internet culture through his paintings. He is represented by Packer Schopf Gallery in Chicago and has shown his work in a variety of venues across the U.S. His work has been reproduced in Harper's Magazine and The Common Review. Having grown up on a dairy farm in South-Central Illinois, Smithenry now resides in Highland Park, Illinois, with his partner, Tim Myers and their daughter Amina.
