Drivers will feel a little less pain at the pump this week around Chicago. Triple-A Chicago Motor Club says—locally—the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded has fallen to $4.15. That's the lowest price in more than two months. Beth Mosher is a spokeswoman for Triple-A.
MOSHER: That's still a pretty high number as compared to what we're used to. Most of us remember the days when it was $3, $3.50. So those are the prices that we're used to and we like to pay. $4.15 is still really a high number for the consumer to stomach.
Local prices topped out two weeks ago at $4.34 cents a gallon.
