Mary is Demetrius’ mom. She wasn't the best mom for the first 14 years of his life but now she’s trying to make amends and see that he graduates. Mary is relying on prayer to help her through, and she’s relying on Robeson high school to help her son. We’re checking in with Mary to get a parent’s point of view on raising a 17-year-old in a neighborhood where street life looms larger than school.
