Daley Doubts He'll Endorse in 5th Congressional Race

Chicago Mayor Richard Daley says he plans to stay out of the 5th Congressional District race this spring. That's the special election to replace former U.S. Congressman Rahm Emanuel. Daley Tuesday said he doubts he'll endorse anyone for the seat. State Representative and congressional candidate Sara Feigenholtz says that could be a good thing.

FEIGENHOLTZ: You know he, I believe, has a very open mind. I think that that's good. I think it's good for the Democratic process. And I think that it will be a very spirited campaign.

Feigenholtz says her campaign to represent the 5th District now is in full swing. The primary is set for March 3. Former Congressman Rahm Emanuel left the seat to become White House chief of staff for President-elect Barack Obama.
