Some Republicans in the U.S. House could vote "yes" on a new economic stimulus package. That's according to Congressman Mark Kirk who voted no on the $816 billion version that passed the House last week.
KIRK: I think a stimulus package is necessary. And the one that will emerge from the Senate will have more infrastructure spending, more tax relief for small businesses to hire and less social spending on accounts that have little to do with economic developments.
Kirk says he opposed the earlier version because of extra spending he called "pork". The cost of the plan being debated in Senate is close to $900 billion.
