Illinois Governor Pat Quinn was in Chicago Monday continuing to lobby for a tax increase. He'll be joined by state lawmakers in Springfield Tuesday as they try to hammer out a balanced budget. With the clock ticking down to a June 30th deadline, the governor says he's willing to compromise.
QUINN: You know we'll talk this week if there somebody with an idea that can get us all to heaven than we'll go with that idea.
Quinn has said more than $9-billion in service cuts would be made if lawmakers fail to vote for a tax hike by the end of the month. Republican leaders have been cool to Quinn's tax hike proposal.
