A man who served as chief-of-staff for former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich is due in federal court today. He's likely to change his plea.
John Harris served as Blagojevich's chief-of-staff - but resigned just after the former governor was arrested in December. He pleaded not guilty to charges of wire fraud in the corruption case against Blagojevich.
Today, he's expected to change that plea at a status hearing before Judge James Zagel. Harris's attorneys say the former chief-of-staff has been cooperating with prosecutors, and could even testify against his former boss at trial.
An attorney for Blagojevich says he's not worried about what Harris could say under oath, saying the former governor is innocent. Blagojevich's trial is scheduled to begin next June.
