Obesity Swells in Illinois

Illinois is getting fatter. More Illinoisans are obese than ever before, according to new numbers reported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The obesity rate was 26.8 percent last year, up more than a point from the year before. The rate has increased steadily over the last 14 years. Nearly two in three Illinoisans are obese or overweight.
