When former Governor George Ryan cleared death row before leaving office, he put the issue of wrongful convictions front and center in Illinois. But that’s not just a local issue.
True Stories of False Confessions
is edited by Steven Drizin and Rob Warden of
Northwestern University’s Center on Wrongful Convictions
, and the book collects tales of coerced confessions from around the country. WBEZ Criminal Justice reporter Robert Wildeboer talked with Warden.
