As newspapers and broadcasters shift resources to the Web, new ventures come online seemingly everyday. And sometimes they go just as quickly. Such was the case with the Chi-Town Daily News. The nonprofit news Web site launched in 2005. Just over a month ago, founder and Editor Geoff Dougherty joined us
here to talk about why it was coming to an end
. But he’s not to be deterred that easily. Next month, the former
Chicago Tribune
reporter will start another journalistic endeavor, Chicago Current. He tells us what's in the works.
