Danny Davis Praises Primary Opponent, Stroger

Bookmark and Share Share

U.S. Illinois Congressman Danny Davis is keeping his options open. Davis has submitted petitions to run for re-election and is a candidate for Cook County board president.

But Davis believes there's another candidate who would be a good pick for the board presidency.

DAVIS: I think that even the incumbent could make a good president. I think the incumbent certainly understands the issues and knows the problems.

Davis says county board President Todd Stroger has enough experience to led the county. Davis isn't saying if he plans to drop out of the race before the November 9th deadline.

Also vying for county board president are Chicago Alderman Toni Preckwinkle, Water Reclamation District President Terrence O'Brien, and county Circuit Court Clerk Dorothy Brown.
