A suburban Chicago man is reportedly among 13 people killed in the shooting at Fort Hood in Texas.

A relative of Pfc. Michael Pearson says his family is resting and trying to collect themselves this morning. Twenty-one-year-old Pearson was from Bolingbrook. He was apparently among the 13 people killed in yesterday's shooting rampage at Fort Hood.

The Chicago Tribune reports Michael Pearson's mother Sheryll received a call last night from a sergeant who said her son had been shot three times. An Army surgeon later called to say he had died. Sheryll Pearson told the Tribune the family is "all very angry."

The suspect shooter in the attack, Major Nidal Malik Hasan is hospitalized after being shot four times. Hasan's motives remain unclear.
