Oprah Winfrey today is expected to announce she'll end her daytime TV show in 2011. Chicagoans talk about her decision.
This morning people have mixed feelings for Oprah. But most, including Kim Coppin recognize Oprah's affect on Chicago.
COPPIN: A lot of people love watching her and tourism too. A lot of people come here to see Oprah's show.
Daniel O'Brien says he hopes the ending of the show won't have a negative affect on the city given the apparent economic influence she's already had.
OBRIEN: She has had a tremendous impact on the city during her stay here, particularly the revitalization of the West Loop around Harpo Studios.
But Chris Golar says it's ultimately Oprah's choice.
GOLAR: She's going to do what's best for her, regardless. I mean, it's her show. That's why it's call the Oprah Show, not the Chicago show.
The Oprah Winfrey Show has been top-rated for more than two decades. Oprah's expected to make her announcement during a live broadcast this morning.
