Books, Eight Forty-Eight

Donna Seaman is a book critic, an associate editor for Booklist, and a regular contributor to the Chicago Tribune and various literary venues. A recipient of the James Friend Memorial Award for Literary Criticism and the Writer Magazine Writers Who Make a Difference Award, Seaman has also received the Literacy Chicago Literacy Hero Award and, from the Fiction Writing Department at Columbia College Chicago, the Story Week Achievement Award. Seaman has created the fiction anthology In Our Nature: Stories of Wildness, and her author interviews are collected in Writers on the Air: Conversations about Books and featured at the website Open Books Radio.
