Kerry James Marshall

Kerry James Marshall is an African-American artist who has called his work “unapologetically black.” He works in multiple mediums, including paint and sculpture, and explores topics such as black popular culture and the Civil Rights Movement with a style that combines both realistic and creative interpretations of history.
Marshall is the Hello! Fellow for July 8, 2007.
