Volunteer for Chicago Public Radio
Volunteering your time and energy is every bit as valuable as donating your money. We are always looking for volunteers for Chicago Public Radio Events and Pledge Drives.

Pledge Drive Volunteering is an important way to share your time and support with Chicago Public Radio. Pledge drive volunteers save us thousands of dollars every pledge drive by taking calls from fellow publc radio fans.

Summer 2008 Pledge Drive
June 17-30

Our 2008 Summer Pledge Drive is Tuesday, June 17–Monday, June 30, and we want to give you the first opportunity to sign up for your favorite shifts. If you’re undecided, sign up for early morning and late afternoon— our busiest times. If you haven't done so before, please complete this pledge drive volunteer application [pdf]. It's necessary since pledge volunteers do take financial information from donors like credit card numbers.

Use this schedule, with the links for each day's shifts, to determine which days/shifts you would like to work. Just click on the date you are interested in, a new page will open, and you can select your shift. If you are interested (and we hope you are) in staffing the phones for more than one day, you can schedule yourself for as many shifts as you like.

Tuesday, JUNE 24
Wednesday, JUNE 25
Thursday, JUNE 26
Friday, JUNE 27
Saturday, JUNE 28
Monday, JUNE 30

Or contact Don Hall at 312.948.4644 or donhall@chicagopublicradio.org.

We’ll provide food, beverages and tours of the station. We also have “thank yous” for your support in the form of books, tickets, and assorted gifts to give away so you won’t leave empty-handed!

Also, if you want to volunteer your community or corporate group of 5-10 people, please contact Don Hall at 312-948-4644 or donhall@chicagopublicradio.org

Events Volunteering includes working at live tapings of Wait, Wait...Don’t Tell Me! and staffing music, film and art festivals. Sign up to volunteer at live tapings of Wait, Wait...Don’t Tell Me! at the Chase Auditorium. For information about Events Volunteering, e-mail Don Hall or call him at 312-948-4644.
