Governors Gain Responsibility, Visibility
As Governor Pat Quinn reaches his six-month mark tomorrow, we already look toward next year's gubernatorial race. The hard work that he’s attempted, and that which remains for him, makes us wonder how the job of the governor has changed in recent years. Christopher Mooney, a professor of political studies at the University of Illinois at Springfield, explains how governors’ offices have changed.
