Megitza Quartet is guitar, percusssion, bayan and bass fiddle. The music is steeped in the Roma tradition with flourishes of tango, jazz, bossa, a bit of Ennio Morricone and the beautiful voice of bass player Malgorzata Babiarz, who formed the band. Megitza plays tunes from its debut: Boleritza.

Also new music from Brazil's Ceu, and a classic near 10-minute jam from Nigerian juju icon King Sunny Ade. He kicks off his North American tour in early June stopping in Chicago July 1.
