About Stories On Stage

Stories on Stage, Chicago’s only live dramatic short story reading series, presents some of the world's most compelling literature—performed by Chicago's finest actors. These performances are presented live in Chicago at Steppenwolf Theatre Company.

Stories on Stage provides an opportunity for Chicago-area artists and audiences to participate in and experience this special merging of the literary and dramatic arts. Each program features three or four stories sharing a common theme.

Stories on Stage ceased production on August 26, 2007.
