DIY: Wallet
June 18, 2009
These days it can be tough to FILL a wallet with more than coupons and‚ a‚ library card...but you can MAKE your own billfold with a little elbow grease and creativity.‚
Instructables has instructions a "quality duct tape wallet".‚ From the site: "standard duct tape wallet with 2 pockets for cards. this takes about 30 minutes to make. i like it because you can customize to exactly the size you want."‚
Lifehacker‚ has two other‚ DIY duct tape wallet‚ tutorials: here and here.
You can also sew one up--something I'm planning to get around to one of these days.‚ If you have time on your hands, check out this pattern from That Darn Kat.‚ If you want something a little less complicated check out this one pocket wallet tutorial.‚ ‚ You could also take apart a fabric wallet that's falling apart to see how‚ it was put together.‚ ‚ Lovely wallet‚ fabric on the cheap can be salvaged from a vintage‚ necktie‚ or whatever else you have that you're willing to chop up.
Super minimalist ?‚ Or want something that's nearly free?‚ Try a paper wallet.‚ I bet you could make it work with a paper grocery bag.
