Listen in as contratiempo presents a bilingual poetry event at the Poetry Foundation. This is the third of several presentations that are part of the Poesía en Abril festival. This is the fifth year of the poetry festival, which features dozens of international poets every year from the U.S. and abroad. This year, we celebrate Cuba and Spain, and the vitality of the Spanish language in immigrant literature in Chicago and the U.S.
The readings by Miguel Barnet and Anna Rossetti occur in the context of an environment created by Yair López audio sculptures, visuals by Charly García, and a performance by Rey Andújar, all directed by Ignacio Guevara.
This reading is in Spanish and English.
Recorded Saturday, April 7, 2012 at The Poetry Foundation.
