The pungent aroma of roasting cocoa beans emanating from the Blommer Chocolate Company has tempted Chicagoans since 1939. They manufacture a broad array of chocolate, cocoa powder, and specialty coatings, including their Signature and Organic lines of chocolates and high-end alkalized cocoas, custom formulated to serve the confectionary, baking, and dairy industries. Blommer Chocolate is a family owned and operated, fully integrated chocolate and cocoa products manufacturer serving customers around the world.

In this talk, Mike Auda of Blommer Chocolate shares the story of this family-run Chicago institution that has become the largest chocolate manufacturer in North America and a leader in sustainability efforts in cocoa growing regions.
