95th and Merrion: Cars in Purgatory?

The auto yard in the South Deering neighborhood has caught my eye for years.
Hunks of old Detroit steel--like that 1956 Pontiac Safari wagon in the lead photo--sit there season after season, awaiting a fate uncertain...or an auto part undetermined. A purgatory for cars? Maybe. At 95th and Merrion.

I went to check on the place a few days ago and found it surrounded by tall wooden fencing that blocked views inside the yard.‚ Luckily, I took these shots before the fence was put up. The view is pretty much the same.
