Wikipedia Files: Superchunk's Jon Wurster
by Justin Kaufmann | Dec. 08, 2010
Jon Wurster is a drummer. Jon Wurster is a comedian. Jon Wurster is a writer. Jon Wurster is our guest on Wikipedia Files. The triple-threat was at WBEZ studios for a taping with Sound Opinions and he graciously let us fact-check his Wikipedia page at my cubicle.
Wurster plays drums for Superchunk and several other indie-rock bands (and once with Katy Perry) and is part of the comedy duo Scharpling & Wurster. He is a big part of the New Jersey cult-hit radio program "The Best Show on WFMU."
Wurster talks about his page, but also gives us new information about his time in Chicago and possibly buying a ton of drugs from Steve Albini*.
*That's not true.

Lorne Michaels would be wise to snatch Jon up as part of the SNL writing/acting team. I believe he's a free agent and would likely work for less than $5M a season.
I never noticed the shout in "Stuart" before-- that's so cool!
