Today on The 3@3, Chicago Sun-Times Reporter Rumanna Hussain and Gapers Block Editor Andrew Huff discuss the topics of the day with guest-host Jason Marck. Here are the stories that the panelists chose today:

Rummanna Hussain: This is the week for William Balfour jury selection. Balfour is accused of murdering the family of Jennifer Hudson in 2008 on the South Side of Chicago. Will Hudson be called to testify in this trial?

Jason Marck (host): The UK introduces a new law expanding internet monitoring. The law would give the government and police the ability to tap phones, monitor internet use and read emails. Is this a sign of what's to come in the U.S.?

Andrew Huff: A new documentary is in the works to examine the life and playing time of White Sox legend Minnie Minoso. But the other story is how the producers are funding it. They are turning to Kickstarter. Will crowdfunding change the way that creative projects are made?
