All summer long, WBEZ and Vocalo are exploring questions of race in Chicago through the Race: Out Loud series. Cleveland-based journalist and musician Afi-Odelia Scruggs wrote an original song for the series. On Wednesday's Eight Forty-Eight, she tells the story behind “Call Me Out My Name” and joins Tony Sarabia and WBEZ’s Richard Steele to pick some songs that explore issues of race and identity.
