On Thursday's Afternoon Shift, The Break Room features singer Mike Viola with the song "Soundtrack to My Summer". Viola was the "musical architect" behind the band The Candy Butchers, who appeared several times on Late Night with Conan O'Brien and Last Call with Carson Daly during the 1990s. He's also worked in film, having co-produced and singing the title track for Tom Hanks' That Thing You Do!, as well as writing over a dozen songs for Judd Apatow's Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, staring John C.Reilly.
