Things got pretty heated at the 8th district congressional debate last night between Democrat Tammy Duckworth and incumbent Republican Congressman Joe Walsh.

The battle continues between Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Illinois Governor Pat Quinn over who would best serve taxpayers on the Illinois Sports Facility Authority

And your WEATHER for todayMostly sunny, breezy and cooler. Highs in the lower 50s. Pretty windy, with gusts up to 30 miles per hour in the late morning and early afternoon. Tonight, clear, lows from the lower 30s to the lower 40s downtown.  

Thursday, mostly sunny in the morning then becoming partly cloudy. Breezy but warmer, highs in the mid 60s. Wind gusts up to 35 miles per hour into the late afternoon. Thursday night, mostly cloudy in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy - lows from the lower 30s to the mid 40s downtown.
