Share Our Strength's Taste of the Nation returns next Wednesday, August 8 to Navy Pier's Grand Ballroom (nearly next door to WBEZ) with the crème de la crème of Chicago's chefs, mixologists, and sommeliers — and we're giving away two tickets!

But there's a catch.

Share Our Strength is national non-profit working to end child hunger in America by 2015 — that's three years. SOS works with others, on a national to individual level, as seen with each person who will donate their time and talent to serve food and drink at TOTN.

In that spirit, of working together to achieve a greater goal, here's how to win tickets to the event: Nominate someone else for their good works in food.

What do we mean by good works in food? WBEZ's own Natalie Moore reports that hip-hop artist Lupe Fiasco is feeding 100 people a day in Chicago food deserts during Ramadan. Afternoon Shift's Steve Edwards spoke with Rami Nashashibi of IMAN (Inner-City Muslim Action Network) about their ongoing campaign to improve both food quality and race relations at the neighborhood corner store.
