Authorities in Chicago are looking for two men who broke into a church rectory on the city's South Side and beat and robbed an 80-year-old priest.

Police say the Rev. Daniel Mallette was attacked early Tuesday in the rectory of St. Margaret of Scotland Church, where he's pastor emeritus. Authorities say he woke up to find two men standing over him demanding money.

The Chicago Tribune reports that Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart is one of Mallette's close friends. Dart says the priest suffered broken ribs and a swollen face. Mallette was treated and released at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

No arrests have been made.
