A new study claims to put a monetary value on homemaking.

WBEZ editor Tony Arnold shares what stories the news room is following this week. And, many studies have tried to calculate the monetary value of homemaking. Estimates often hit the six figure mark for stay-at-home women, but not for men. Janice D'Arcy, who writes the On Parenting blog for The Washington Post, does the math. Pat Byrnes, the Chicago-based author of the Captain Dad blog, responds. Also, the White Sox recently introduced their new team slogan for the 2012 season. Ed Sherman, author of the Crain's On Sports blog, says "Appreciate the Game" is just not working for him. Scott Kirkpatrick of the firm Chicago Sports and Entertainment Partners explains what makes a good team slogan.
