Sinker often described mythical long road trips in Daxid Axelrod's Honda Civic or escapades alongside 'Carl the Intern.'

Some real gems sprang from the mind of Dan Sinker as he took on the persona of @Mayor Emanuel. Debate prep: "If we end up in a dance-off, those other bleepers are bleeping done. Black Swan, bitches!" Speech preview: "So Chicago, let's stop screwing around. Let's be like the Unicorn on my T-shirt: bleeping incredible." Or, "Axelrod and I are double-fisting beers right now, smashing the empties on our foreheads. IT FEELS BLEEPING GREAT TO BE ALIVE."

That’s what the notoriously foul-mouthed Mayor-elect Rahm Emanuel sounded like filtered through the mind of Columbia College journalism professor Dan Sinker. Monday, Sinker was revealed to be the man behind the fake Twitter account that was a go-to bookmark for political junkies.

Until then, he was perhaps most famous for founding the magazine, Punk Planet. Now, his celebrity has gone to a whole other level. He joined Eight Forty-Eight to talk about it.
