Players may be left in the cold if a collective bargaining agreement isn't reached

The NFL and the Players Association gave themselves another 24 hours to bust out a new collective bargaining agreement on Thursday. Football fans may be grimacing at the prospect of a lockout. But Chicago sports fans could be following their other hometown teams into extended seasons.

Sports contributor Cheryl Raye-Stout has been keeping track of it all and spoke to Eight Forty-Eight about these recent developments. She started with the NFL, and if anything could be gleaned from the move to extend collective bargaining talks.
