Chicago-area students make gifts that will be sent to Armenia and Rwanda.

Each Thursday on Global Activism we hear about individuals who’ve decided to work to make the world a better place. Mary Roth and Lisa Axelrod are the founders of The Kindness Connection. It’s an organization that helps create service learning projects for Chicago-area kids. The idea is to help children develop an interest in volunteering from an early age, making it more likely they’ll be involved in service projects later in life.
