'Eight Forty-Eight's' Alison Cuddy spoke to comedian Emo Philips.

Emo Philips and his car have covered a lot of miles over his long career. The comedian has spent more than 30 years doing stand-up. Phillips gets lots of props for his joke writing skills. And he’s made some film appearances – opposite Weird Al Yankovic and in the original Meet the Parents from 1992. It all began back in Downers Grove. Phillips developed his comedy on Chicago stages and that’s where he’ll soon be returning.

Philips will be at Zanies on Wells St. on Thursday and Friday. He’ll also perform a couple of shows Saturday at the Zanies in Vernon Hills.
