Author of ‘Pakistan: A Hard Country’ shares the truths and myths about Pakistan

Anatol Lieven is a professor in the department of war studies at King's College London and author of the book Pakistan: A Hard Country. In his book, he talks about some of the realities and mythmaking on Pakistan, which has had a complicated history and society since its 1948 independence. Lieven has spent many years in India and Pakistan. He spent much time on the ground in the provinces of Punjab, Sindh and Northwest Frontier for his glimpse into Pakistani society and its diverse collective psyche. He shares his thoughts on a nation that is often misunderstood.
