Chicago band Implodes with sonic waves and texture
May 5, 2011
Produced by Eight Forty-Eight
The members of local band Implodes obviously play music together but they have a number of other things in common: Three of them hail from Pittsburgh and three of them work together at Reckless Records in Lakeview. Their shared roots and day jobs have helped create a laid-back atmosphere within the band, which is fitting, because atmosphere is key to the sound of Implodes.
The group spoke to Eight Forty-Eight's Alison Cuddy and performed several of their songs in the Jim and Kay Mabie Performance Studio.
The band will host a record release show on Sunday, May 8, at Lincoln Hall.
