A preview of Chicago’s Human Rights Watch Film Festival
June 2, 2011
The film, 'This is My Land...Hebron,' features interviews with Palestinians and Israeli settlers.
Human Rights Watch experts track wars, poverty and abuses all over the globe. Their reports, however, don't always show the human face behind the analysis. That’s what Human Rights Watch exposes when it hosts its annual film festivals in major cities like New York and London. The group’s Chicago festival runs through June 9 at Facets Multi-media.
Jobi Cates, the director of Human Rights Watch’s Chicago chapter, tells us about this year’s slate of films.
