The News of the World phone-hacking scandal continues to unfold, as British parliamentarians quizzed Rupert Murdoch this morning. The controversy threatens Prime Minister David Cameron's administration and Murdoch’s global news empire.

Martin Conboy is a professor of journalism history at University of Sheffield and author of the 2006 book Tabloid Britain: Constructing a Community through Language. He joins us to discuss what today's parliamentary hearing revealed and the culture of the UK media.
