CHA residents are waiting for a new CEO.
Mayor Rahm Emanuel appointed new leaders at many city departments since taking office in May. But a vacancy remains at the Chicago Housing Authority. CEO Lewis Jordan stepped down after questions around his use of city credit cards. And even though the CHA still does not have a permanent head, there are three new board members.
Eight Forty-Eight spoke toEthan Michaeli, publisher of Residents’ Journal, which covers the lives of people living within the CHA. Michaeli is also the executive director of We the People Media.
