Global Notes: World Music Festival packs more than 50 bands from 30 countries

Bomba Estéreo, of Colombia, will perform at the festival, the largest and longest running international music event in the U.S.

The math is impressive: 53 bands, 55 events, 32 countries and 22 venues. That's what this year's World Music Festival promises to serve up for one week, starting Thursday, September 15. On this week's Global Notes, Brian Keigher, one of the festival organizers, joins Jerome and Radio M host Tony Sarabia to talk about this year's lineup, which includes Colombian hip hop group Bomba Estéreo, Pakistani vocalist Arooj Aftab, American indie outfit Hawk and a Hacksaw and African kora player Ballake Sissoko
