Times have been tough; that is no secret. Cities across the country remained hard at work to bring new businesses to town.

Here in Chicago, both private and public sector boosters championed what the Windy City has to offer. The annual Chicago Innovation Awards was one such effort to recognize the region’s creative spirit, now in its 10th year.

Eight Fort-Eight recently spoke with the co-founder and current director of the awards, Thomas Kuczmarski and Luke Tanen. Kuczmarski also teaches at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
