The Chicago Blaze is the local team affiliated with the United States Chess League.

With the Bears and Blackhawks in regular-season mode, those wanting some intense playoff action had to look elsewhere. How about the world of chess? The Chicago Blaze will play their semi-final match Monday against the Los Angles Vibe. The Blaze had the best regular season record in the United States Chess League and members looked to bring some serious hardware home to the Windy City. Before they head to the boards Monday night at the North Shore Chess Club, Eight Forty-Eight caught up with Blaze owner Sevan Muradian.
