Clarence Floyd, 38, is learning new skills at the Jane Addams Resource Corporation in Chicago.
Reporter Jocelyn Frank shared Deidre Hosek's story as an example of how public-private partnerships have helped people find work in Michigan but Eight Forty-Eight asked, what about Chicago? Elizabeth Weigensberg, a senior researcher at the University of Chicago’s Chapin Hall, has been checking out various training and education programs available in the city. As part of Front and Center's look at how workers in the Great Lakes region have been faring, Eight Forty-Eight spoke with Weigensberg.
Weigensberg referred to the Chicago Workforce Investment Council’s database of training programs in Chicago.
