Teams use slogans in everything from marketing materials to game schedules. Ideally, good ones can help sell tickets.
Ed Sherman, author of Crain's On Sports blog, thinks the new White Sox slogan, "Appreciate the Game," just doesn't cut it. He came on Eight Forty-Eight to make his case.
And Scott Kirkpatrick of the firm Chicago Sports and Entertainment Partners gave some examples of effective slogans, including the Chicago Wolves tagline "It's more than a game."
