Starbucks is proud to be recognized as one of the most progressive employers in the U.S. Our 155,000 global partners (employees) are truly the heart and soul of our company. We value and respect each partner because our success would not be possible without the fantastic contributions they make on a daily basis.

Our people are hard working, ethical and fair. But that doesn't mean that we're perfect. As a company that has employed more than half a million partners over the past five years alone (and many, many more over our long history) and with 9,000 stores globally, we are bound to make mistakes. A handful of those few mistakes, unfortunately, seem to attract disproportionate attention.

At the end of the day, we take responsibility for the decisions we make – both right and wrong – and constantly look for opportunities to make improvements. Each day we continue to work closely with our partners to preserve the open, direct relationship we have built with them. And in the future, we look forward to working under labor rules that allow that relationship to prosper.
