When you think of the Chicago's Roaring Gangster era, the names Capone and Bugs come to mind. But, there's one other name that remained largely hidden from the headlines. And that's because he was reporting the stories. In his day, Jake Lingle was the reporter who was known to get his story, every time. His methods were unorthodox and some might say questionable. But his relationships to the top names in organized crime and crime fighters gave him an unparalleled inside advantage. The story behind Jake Lingle's life, death and the aftermath is recounted in this months' issue of Chicago magazine. Richard Babcock, editor of Chicago magazine, tells us more about his article about Lingle.
